The music or harmony of the spheres
Pythagoras (ca. 569 BC-475 BC), having ascertained that the pitch of the notes depends on the rapidity of vibrations, and also that the planets move at different rates of motion, concluded that the sounds made by their motion must vary acording to their different rates of motion. As all things in nature are harmoniously made, the different sounds must harmonise, and the combination be called the "harmony of the spheres".

Special thanks to Chet Baker (1929-1988) - whom we met in Oslo on the 30th of January 1988 and had the possibility to play with the whole next day. He gave us important guidance. We played out compositions for Chet and in the middle of one of his solos he stopped playing and with a smile said: "You are looking like angels".
Rest in peace Chet!
